Modernist Formalism - Clement Greenberg and Post-Painterly Abstraction

  2. Nice vid, thanks for posting .
    I would say that it makes Greenberg sound like he has something against common folk/proletariat etc. which isn't necessarily true. It's more like he observed that regular people -- with simple tastes -- were more vulnerable to kitsch or propagandistic art.
